Are You Interested in Online Webinars and Home Study Continuing Education?

If you scroll down to my sidebar on the right, you will see two new polls that I have added regarding new forms of online and home-study continuing education.  Please take a quick moment to participate.  I am thinking about adding two more extensions of this website:

  1. Webinars:  Basically online presentations of select physical therapy and rehabilitation topics that you can participate in, ask questions, and interact from your own computer.  A way for me to present live to a large amount of people around the world simultaneously!  I have had many thoughts on how this could work, including having them during the week such as right after work or at lunch time.  I would also be able to give you CEU credit through the Advanced Continuing Education Institute.
  2. Home-Study Courses:  This would involve presentations that will be in CD/DVD format that you can view on your computer at home at your own pace and time.  Again, there will be CEU credit.
I assume there is interest in the home-study courses but the webinar experience is intriguing to me.  What do you think?  Please respond and comment to this post and don’t forget to participate in the polls!  Thanks as always!

  1. Webinars sound great. I have been interested in a couple from NSCA, but I had time zone issues. I thinks if the topic is right and advanced notice is adequate to move patients, this would be a great addition.

  2. I was thinking of time zone issues too Amy, luckily I travel a great deal for my job so I am often on the west coast, should be able some at convenient times for everyone. Thanks

  3. I think they are both good ideas. I’ve actually thought about “distance PT” too. Would be a move in the right direction!! About the home study….I recently bought the shoulder/knee combo DVD’s and had a LOT of questions. No diagnoses are specifically mentioned, there are no contraindications, no HEP ideas, no reps/sets recommended, and no mention of logical progression. Maybe those can be addressed prior to a new release.

Webinars are a good idea. I hope it is not so complicated. I would love to pick your brain more about this. Maybe we could work together. I also provide physical therapy home study course that is about learning how to be a cash paid physical therapist.
