Hey Mike, your DVDs were a great addition when it comes to rehabing the overhead athlete. I really thank you and Eric Cressey for teaching and making the DVD. I've starting using a lot of your exercises especially rhythmic stabilization. I have watched many therapists use the "slapping" method during the exercise and now I know how inefficient and incorrect it is to perform the exercise. While on my clinical affiliation, I was going to present evidence based diagnosis and treatment for impingement and I wanted to talk about the use of rhythmic stabilization. Interestingly, for how often the technique is used, I am unable to find any journal articles on the efficacy of rhythmic stabilization. I searched Pubmed and OVID. I understand the concept of it but i was wondering if you had any evidence on it. I really want to sell the technique to the therapists since it has been working well with my patients who demonstrate with the "shoulder shrug". Also if possible, I was wondering how you developed how to perform the rhythmic stabilization technique since 99% of all the therapists I've seen used the "slapping technique".
