Parasympathetic Nervous System, ITB Myths, and Staying Ahead of the Curve

This week’s stuff you should read comes from Conditioning Research, Patrick Ward, and Dean Somerset.

The Parasympathetic Nervous System: Looking for a Way in

One of my favorite internet authors, Patrick Ward, has a great article on the parasympathetic nervous system and trying to crack the code on how to help benefit people.  I like his manual therapy approach to the topic.

Myths of the ITB

Conditioning Research has a nice post discussing the myth of stretching the ITB for iliotibial band syndrome.  I couldn’t agree more.

Staying Ahead of the Curve

Dean Somerset wrote a nice article on his off days.  Two things really stood out to me in this article: 1) That Angry Birds pic made me laugh out loud, love it.  2) His graphs on staying ahead of the curve are well said.  I full intend on stealing both, Dean…  with proper credit and your permission of course!
