    Great topic Mike. The stretch that you allowed me to share with your viewers several months back that addresses pect minor tightness is definitely one way that IR can be improved in the context of a forward shoulder posture. I also tend to pronate the forearm despite originally showing a supinated position in the video. I always think scapular position and axis of rotation when addressing loss of IR. Hope your summer is going well otherwise. Sorry to be out of the loop a bit on the blog…wedding, ironman racing, book, and swamped clinic. Though I realize that Im preaching to the choir…
    Hey…one other item. I remember going back and forth with you on Dec 24th 2011 talking about spine manips and how that can also improve IR ROM most likely due to improved scapular positioning though this is still anecdotal as know published studies exist to my knowledge. Once again…great topic!!!

    Great post Mike, I’ve had consistent succes with this approach ever since. Your explanation of GIRD was succinct and informative (i’ve been a bit baffled by it’s significance for a few years despite sitting through a couple of lectures on it!). A nice add-on for pec minor releases amd TSpine mobilisation/manips. I always open and read your posts!
